TableTennisStore's Racket Resurfacing Program is offered to any customer who needs their racket resurfaced and who wants an expert to do it for them.
The service works as follows:
- Choose one or two rubber from our store and add them to the shopping cart
- Add this product - "TableTennis Racket Resurfacing - Mail in Program" - to the shopping cart.
- Specify in the order notes or in a follow up communication with us the time frame needed to receive your racket back from us.
- Choose your outbound mail service at checkout. USPS priority, Express, or UPS Ground
After your purchase, we will immediately send you a USPS Priority Mail or UPS ground "paid mailing label". Please affix this label to a secure box and pack the racket or rackets you would like us to resurface. Upon receipt of your order we will:
- Inspect your Blade
- Remove the Old Rubber Sheets (if not already done by you). Note. If the rubber is really baked on the paddle because of age, or this is a pre-assembled, racket, we reserve the right to charge an additional $20 to get the rubber sheets off as its a tricky process to do cleanly without wood splintering and damage. If think your racket fits this category, chat with us on the chat box or send us a picture in advance.
- Make any needed minor repairs to the racket edge, by adding fingernail polish hardener to any dents or nicks in the racket edge surface.
- Seal the blade using water based light varnish. This will harden the wood ever so slightly and prevent the blade from splintering when you try and remove the rubber the next time it needs to be replaced.
- Custom affix the rubber you purchased from our store.
- Add edge tape
- Mail the completed blade back to you.
Your cost for this service is $12 which includes a pre-paid USPS Priority Mail, or UPS Ground Mailing Label sent to you via email.
